How long does a warranty or repair case last?

The duration of a repair depends on various factors, including, of course, the shipping time to China or the spare parts in Europe at our repair partners. 

Repair in Europe: If the spare parts are in stock, this can be done quite quickly. You make a warranty or repair request, send the device to our repair partner and it should be back to you within a week. In case of a warranty we take over the full costs, in case of a repair order out of warranty you save 5-20% with our repair partner. 

Repair in China: If the fault cannot be repaired in Europe, the device must be sent to China. Don't worry, we take care of the shipping to China and back. During the warranty period completely free of charge for you, for repairs outside the warranty period we charge a small fee. Usually a repair in China takes between 1-4 months. 


Is the device checked before departure?

Yes, we take extra time and check all devices (excluded are EU warehouse devices) for functions and also the hardware. This includes, for example, camera, GPS, sensor, display and charging tests, as well as an assessment of external defects.

If a new firmware is available for the device, we install it. In case of errors, an exchange will be made before shipment and a new device with full functionality will be sent to the customer. This way we guarantee that our customers only receive faultless devices.

If you do not agree with these tests, we are sorry, but we do it to provide you with a perfect product and reduce any of problems. 


How can I cancel orders?

Write us just an email to [email protected] and we will cancel the order and refund your money.


What do I do if my device is broken?

Let's keep calm. Please contact us by email, best via the customer area in our shop. We will then check the errors with you, because often are small software errors can also be solved very easily with an update. If it really is a hardware error, you can make a warranty claim. You will receive further instructions from us in the following.

In addition to the free shipping of your device to China or a EU partner and the free return of the device, we also offer the possibility to call on our repair partner in Europe for minor defects. This is much faster and completely free of charge for you during the warranty period.


Is there a loyalty or partner program?

Do customs fees still have to be paid on import?

Customers are required to inform themselves about the customs fees and customs regulations in their country. All prices on the website are exclusive of customs duties and import VAT of the respective recipient countries. As we only offer Global Priority as a shipping method since recently, the import costs are taken over by the logistics company in China. So there is no further cost for the customer. Our company is located in Hong Kong and therefore a third country without VAT. This shipping method usually takes 2 weeks, but it is the most cost effective method.

IMPORTANT! We also offer shipping methods that do not incur customs duties or import sales tax. One option to save costs is Global Priority.

EU WAREHOUSE! For customers in Europe there are of course no import or customs costs for products from the EU warehouse. 


How long does my device have warranty?

Devices that you purchase from us usually have the manufacturer's warranty. This is 1 year for most companies, but do not worry, even after the warranty we will take care of your repair case. 


Why are the Paypal fees so high?

We are really sorry, but since Paypal HongKong charges very high fees (8.7%) this would reduce our small profit massively. Therefore we are unfortunately dependent on passing on a certain part of these fees to the customers. All other payment methods are possible without extra fees.


When is a Bitcoin / Litecoin / Ethereum payment confirmed?

Unfortunately this depends on the network. Bitcoin payments usually take 1-10 minutes under normal load. Litecoin and Ethereum payments are usually confirmed faster. However, it can also happen, as with the 2017 hype, that payments take several hours. Don't worry, if there is a timeout and the payment is still sent, we will of course confirm it. 


What is the difference between Xiaomi.eu (TWRP / Fastboot) and Xiaomi Global Firmware

Basic differences are as follows: 

  • Xiaomi.EU (Fastboot) = Forum Custom Firmware, no OTA Updates (manual), Saftynet Passed, Widevine Level 1 usually, Multilanguage
  • Xiaomi.EU (TWRP) = Forum Custom Firmware, OTA Updates, Saftynet Passed, Widevine Level 1, Multilanguage
  • Xiaomi Global Firmware = official Xiaomi Global Firmware, OTA Updates, Saftynet Failed (in the new versions, therefore no Google Pay), Widevine Level 1 usually
  • Xiaomi China Original = official Xiaomi China Firmware, OTA Updates, Saftynet Passed, Widevine Level 1 usually, only Chinese + English language

What does no OTA updates (manual) mean for Xiaomi.EU firmware?

- With the Xiaomi.Eu firmware, you download the firmware to your PC, connect your PC to the smartphone, put the smartphone in fastboot mode (volume down + hold power button until the Mitu male appears) and then you can flash the custom rom. There is the first_install file (for Windows, MacOSX, Linux) with which you install the Rom the first time or the update file (for Windows, MacOSX, Linux) with which you can update the system every time. During an update no data is lost, everything remains, only the software is updated. 

What does Saftynet Failed or Passed mean?

- The Saftynet test checks whether the device is also intended for banking apps such as Google Pay. If the test fails, Google Pay will not work. Other banking apps might not work either, but that depends on the app. Kontist or ING Diba do work, but DKB refuses the service. 

What does Widevine Level 1 mean?

- Every smartphone comes with a Widevine level and this is important for encrypting streaming data. Usually, Netflix, Amazon Prime or Disney+ require Level 1, so everything works without any problems. If a device has Level 3, which can happen with China smartphones, it cannot see the content at all or with Netflix, for example, only with 480p resolution. 

Does the Xiaomi.Eu Rom also get updates as long as the Global Rom?

- Yes, usually even longer, because the Xiaomi.eu is based on the official China Rom. This usually comes faster and often has features that the Global does not offer. Xiaomi.eu unpacks this, adds the multilanguage strings (languages) and a few mods and actually releases these on the same day every time Xiaomi does it for the last 10 years. 

Which Rom is the right one? 

- You can't give a blanket answer to that. If it is important for you to receive constant OTA updates, you should choose the Global, knowing that Google Pay will not work. If functionality is more important to you, you should go for the Xiaomi.eu Rom. The advantage is that both are usually based on the stable firmware, which usually gets updates every few months and becomes rarer and rarer over time. As with all manufacturers, there are a few FIX updates in the first few weeks, then only every few months. And don't worry, if it's May and you don't have the May security package yet, the world won't end and your smartphone will become a holey cheese where any hobby hacker can rule the world right now. 

Can I flash the Xiaomi.eu Firmware by myself?

Do the smartphones in Europe work without problems?

All smartphones and tablets that offer mobile internet and phone calls work without problems in Europe & Co. We also only offer devices that work without problems in European countries and the rest of the world. To be sure, we have a "Compatibility Check" button on most smartphones, there you can check if the device is compatible with your country.

There are China Mobile versions, but we do not offer them. If you need a corresponding China version, please contact us or note this need in the corresponding order.

TWRP version of Xiaomi.eu for the Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra information

If you buy a Mi 11 Pro or Mi 11 Ultra with Xiaomi.eu Rom, you get a really good multilanguage Rom without a lot of bells and whistles, but you have to keep a few things in mind. 

OTA updates Yes, automatic installation, NO

The system checks automatically if new software versions are available. As soon as a new version is available, you get a notification and usually it is downloaded directly. Often customers are confused because it says if you want to boot into a system that is encrypted. Don't worry, just click on Yes. 

Then you boot into TWRP and now you have to click on "INSTALL", then select the "ZIP" version, usually at the bottom and swipe to the right to start the installation. After the installation click on "WIPE CACHE" and reboot. 

Now you have the newest version, all data is still on it and only the firmware was updated. 

TWRP is in Chinese, how do I change it?

Sometimes it happens that the TWRP is still in Chinese. This can be changed very easily. We have here in the manual some pictures, which explain in step 1 exactly where to click.

TWRP has a password, what is it?

Usually it is just your PIN. If it is not your PIN please try "password" or "default_password". If it is not one of them, feel free to contact us. 

Camera in Miui wants to save to SD Card, ERROR.

How long does a refund with Visa/Mastercard/Paypal or bank take

Usually a refund takes time: 

Paypal = 1-2 working days

Visa / Mastercard = depends on your bank, but should be credited to your credit card within 1-10 business days

RES2k Mobile or RES2k doesn't work, what now?

Usually it is often simply due to the Micro SD card. This could be loose and therefore we recommend as a first tip to remove the micro SD card and insert it again. Furthermore, the RES2k Mobile sometimes runs out of batteries. Here a change helps. If everything does not help, just send us a mail to [email protected]


What does "Ready to ship in 3-5 days" mean?

Like many other China Shops we do not have a large stock, because in China the prices are often subject to fluctuations. So it can happen that the price drops by 20-30€ within a week. Since we want to pass these price reductions on to our customers as soon as possible, we often buy the devices Just-In-Time.

"Ready for dispatch in 3-5 days" means nothing else than that we have the device in stock or can get it within max. 5 days. After that it will be packed and shipped.

Is no CE mark a problem during import?

No, the European CE mark as we know it is not a (test) "seal", but an administrative mark, which expresses the free marketability of appropriately marked industrial products in the European internal market. It's quite simple:

The phone are original an new, come in package, not sealed, as we test it and install Google Play Store or a Firmware, if you choose.


How long does it take for my parcel to reach me?

The shipping process varies and can only be influenced by us or the buyer to a limited extent. In the best case between 3-7 days and in the worst case about 2-3 weeks. Usually these are the shipping and handling times.

  • 1-3 days for ordering and processing
  • 3-5 days for shipping with DHL Express
  • 10-15 days for shipping with Global Priority
  • 2-4 weeks for shipping with Mail Parcel (small parts)
  • 2-4 days for shipping from the EU (depending on location)

Of course it can happen with DHL Express from China that the customs delays it a little bit. But so far DHL Express is usually within 7 days with you.

Will I lose the warranty by flashing an update, rooting or unlocking the device?

This depends on the update. If it is an official update, you are welcome to install it. If you don't know how to do this, you can always contact us.

However, if you try to install a custom rom, or unlock the device, or if the device is too unlocked or too rooted (except for devices that are already unlocked or rooted, such as Xiaomi devices), it's very possible that the manufacturer will refuse the warranty. This must be decided on a case-by-case basis.

What is the difference between locked / unlocked bootloader?

In der Regel werden bei uns alle Geräte mit einer China / EN Firmware Version als locked versendet. In manchen Fällen gibt es auch Geräte mit einer globalen Firmware Versionen als unlocked. EU Versionen, die man direkt aus dem EU Lager kauft, sind in der Regel alle locked.

Locked Firmware = The bootloader is locked and you can only reopen it by binding the device to a Mi account. This is usually needed to install custom roms or alternative firmware versions. A locked firmware has no disadvantage and all services and apps work without problems.

Unlocked Firmware = The bootloader is unlocked and custom roms or alternative firmware versions can be installed without problems. Since Xiaomi has changed the process, most China devices with Global Firmware are unlocked. The only drawback at the moment is that this firmware cannot be unlocked again and Google Pay does not work. Apps like Netflix, Pokemon or Banking Apps have no influence on this. They usually work.


What does OTA Updates mean?

OTA means Over The Air and means that updates can be downloaded and installed easily via WLAN. You don't have to download Rome and install it in a complicated way, but always get the latest updates via the download.


What is the difference between the stable and developer versions of Xiaomi?

On the one hand there is the stable rom. This is the official and recommended rom version by the manufacturer. The stable version comes out every 2-3 months and does not offer root privileges.

Then there is the Developer Editon (= German developer version). This is actually, as the name already says, intended for developers. It does not differ much from the stable, but you get weekly updates. This version is just as stable as the other one, but offers the possibility of root privileges (by unlocking the bootloader).

Last but not least, there are roms from Xiaomi.eu: These are unofficial Miui roms with several languages (including German) and without China apps.

Which LTE networks do China Smartphones support?

Most Xiaomi, Redmi, Realme, Oppo, Vivo, Oneplus and Meizu smartphones support band 1 and 3 ( frequency 1800MHz and 2100MHz ). This is sufficient for LTE reception in most EU countries.

In Germany, LTE is also transmitted in band 20 (frequency 800 MHz). This frequency is used by some providers in rural areas and so you will usually be downgraded to HDSP+ / UMTS. Global versions of the devices also offer band 20 (frequency 800MHz).

Please use our compatability assistent on most of the Smartphone sites. It is the yellow big button under the product picture. 


What is the difference between a normal SIM, Nano SIM and Micro SIM card?

There are different sizes for SIM cards. The very old SIM cards had a quite large format, were replaced by Micro SIM cards, which are a bit smaller and recently there are also Nano SIM cards. Special Apple relies on Nano SIM cards.

There are also adapters for the individual cards, but we always recommend to use the size that is needed in the phone. Usually you can order a Micro or Nano SIM card for free from your provider.


Is an user manual enclosed with the ordered device?

Most Chinese manufacturers only include a Chinese quick start guide, but even renowned manufacturers such as Motorola or Apple do not provide complete manuals these days.

It is generally assumed that you explore the system yourself. With MIUI or Emotion UI it is very easy to find your way around, because both Android interfaces are quite self-explanatory. If you take a little more time with it, you will also find the little secret features.

Stock Android smartphones usually have a small guide during the first setup (software-based).
