After 5 years of having the beast of an Oneplus 5 I decided to go for a new brand: Vivo. Searching for a new beast was not easy - too much had been changed over the last 5 years: Display, Camera and Processor developed crazy fast. From all models I checked (Oneplus 10 Pro, Sony Xperia I IV, Oppo Find X5 Pro) I decided for the new Vivo X80 Pro for two reasons:
+ Carmera (stunning!)
+ Fast charging (about 3X min from 0 to 100%)
Somehow I really missed the audio jack, a SD-Slot, an alert slider, an notification LED from the Oneplus 5 in nearly all possible smartphones I checked. In the end it will be a trade-offe - and Vivo was the best: SD-Slot is not needed having 512GB storage, LED notification is not needed having ambilight notification turned on, volume button down can be used as alert slider.
After 12 days I received the Vivo X80 Pro with an European Power Adapter and the 50W wireless charing stand. Setting up the Vivo was kind of an adventure I was really looking forward to (experienced with rooting phones) - in the end it was very easy to get it working (also for people who are not into rooting...), even tho it has Chinese software. As one of the first owners of the phone there was no manual how to set up everything correctly, so I learned a lot from the predecessor X70 Pro Plus (XDA Forum). To save time, check my manual below to fix some issues or the XDA Forum (Vivo X80 Pro). Also Trading Shenzhen has a video tutorial (website or youtube) to set the phone up correctly.

Uninstalling Chinese Bloatware with ADB App Control is very easy. I uninstalled nearly all Chinese apps.
In the end, a perfect phone - I expect to name it beast after some months and I definitely plan to have it over the next 5 years like my Oneplus 5. All messenger apps (Signal, Threema, Telegram, Whatsapp), Battery performance is great - I'm not a Gamer, but I use the phone for reading and watching a lot of Youtube. After one day of intense video watching and reading a lot I've usually more than 50% of capacity left. Having the flight mode switched on over night, the phone loses about 1-2% capacity (just use the automatic turn off/turn off function). The best thing: fast charging - 10 min and your phone is charged from 0 to 40%. Trading Apps (Trade Republic, DEGiro, Binance, Onvista), Google Apps (Maps, Meet, Pay) are working without any issues - definitely a dignified successor to my old phone.
Thanks Trading Shenzhen for such a smooth delivery.
