Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro
Luxury models at a low price? Xiaomi proves once again that high-quality smartphones do not have to tear big holes in their wallets. With the Redmi 6 Pro, the Chinese manufacturer has the potential to put established European manufacturers in their place. The equipment is in view of the low price an immediate declaration of contention. The Redmi 6 Pro combines an extremely high-resolution display with a powerful yet power-saving Snapdragon 625 processor. The overall package is rounded off by a modern design including characteristic notch.
Full HD is old school!
The same design gives the smartphone a touch of elegance and luxury. At first glance, the model is a reminiscent of Apple's much more expensive iPhone X, due to the Notch. The camera arrangement is also based on the Californian mobile phone. Like the other Xiaomi models, the Redmi 6 Pro leaves nothing to be desired in terms of workmanship. The display can be described as an absolute highlight within this price category: With a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels, digital content looks incredibly good. With a screen diagonal of 5.84 inches, a pixel density of 432 ppi is achieved. The aspect ratio is based on the modern 19:9 format. With a colour spectrum of 84% NTSC, the colours are displayed very vividly. Even direct sunlight does not pose a problem due to the high contrast of 1500.
Enough power for future app generations
A powerful core inside the Redmi 6 Pro. Xiaomi has provided the new budget phone with a Snapdragon 625, which is clocked at up to 2.0 GHz. In combination with the generously sized 4 GB RAM, current apps run absolutely smoothly even in multitasking. The same applies to modern 3D games. This is made possible by the powerful Adreno 506 graphics processor.
Capture photos and videos in high quality
A strong overall package is also offered with regard to the camera. A 5 megapixel sensor is provided on the front panel for razor-sharp images. The self-timer also eliminates the need to press the shutter release button. At the same time, the camera can be used to unlock the device. The face unlock function unlocks the smartphone within fractions of a second when the owner is detected. However, if the images are to be of a higher quality, the rear camera offers far more potential for proper snapshots. The dual camera is equipped with a high-resolution 12 megapixel sensor. This is supported by a 5 megapixel camera. Together, breathtaking shots with Bokeh effects can be realized. Videos can also be recorded at up to 1080p at 30 frames per second. The AI ensures optimum results and supports the user.
Use data tariffs and save money
Xiaomi has given the Redmi 6 Pro a 64 GB internal memory so that hobby photographers can really live themselves out. This allows a variety of videos, photos, apps and more to be stored directly on the smartphone. If this is still not enough for you, you can expand the storage space via SD card if required. Unlike many other models, this does not occupy the second SIM card slot. This is particularly pleasing for all those who would like to use a data tariff for inexpensive surfing.
What else is on offer?
As befits a modern smartphone, the latest network standards are also supported. With 4G LTE support, Redmi 6 Pro users can surf the net at high speed. In the local network, 802.11 a, b, g and n support is the same. Smart gadgets such as wireless headphones or fitness trackers can be connected to the smartphone in a particularly power-saving manner with Bluetooth 4.2. This also promises a particularly high duration. The reason for this is the internal battery rated at 4000 mAh. Location services can also be used without restrictions due to full GPS support. A fingerprint sensor on the back of the narrow housing completes the overall package.
